BMG MIS

ophelis was hired by BMG MIS to furnish its newly constructed “Research and Production” building in Science Park II. BMG MIS constructed the new building primarily to add more space and to create a high-quality work environment for all areas.

Acoustics Concept creates sense of Well-Being in the Office

An important goal was to create open structures that permit and encourage communication. Furniture with excellent acoustic properties contributes to a sense of well-being even in these open spaces. The orga.cube, which provides storage space in the office and serves as a barrier, features excellent acoustic properties and reduces reverberation times in the low-frequency range, which is particularly uncomfortable. It allows employees to design their office space to suit their exact needs. When open, the concept supports focused work and allows the employee to create a private little “alcove”; when closed, the employee is able to communicate directly with colleagues.

Storage areas are also optimised for better acoustics with the help of the ‘glider’ sliding door cabinet system with acoustic front and back panels. The large, smooth frontal panels and fabric rear panels promote well-being and separate an area from the corridors.

 Cable Management

With the U4 series of desks with functional rail, ophelis also solved the problem of “invisible” cable management for this project. The rail has a sliding plate for easy access to the electrical components from anywhere on the desk. It also enables the force-locked attachment of third working planes and swivel arms for monitors.

“The project is an all-around success”
